In real life a coffin with a loved one in it, ending up i n the sewer system would be anything but funny.but, in the movie, it is like trying not to laugh during church. Their facial expressions and inability to be coherent is priceless. The anticipation and aftermath of the pain scenes make you, at the same time, you are bent over with laughter. It is a great blend of fantasty and humor. In the casting of these characters, never would I have ever dreamed of Christopher Walken playing in the role that he did. Nathan Lane is hysterical, displaying a unique comedic range. while the human characters are so bogged down with their own personal quests that they competely overlook the obvious.
An ordinary mouse possesses logic, wit, survival skills, etc. Mouse Hunt does what it is intended to do.make you laugh and laugh I do.
